This past year has been one of change and growth for Beech Acres
Parenting Center. As we hear the challenges families are facing and
see the impact of those challenges in the community, we’ve been able
to adapt and respond thanks to you. We’ve moved to a more centralized location in downtown
Cincinnati to be closer to the clients we serve and the community we love. We’ve built out our
capabilities and invested in technology to modernize our organization, making us more agile and
more capable of addressing modern concerns.
Your generosity has fueled this growth, enabled these changes, and empowered thousands of
parents to strengthen their families. Stronger families mean stronger communities and we could
not do this important work without you.
This year we will continue to serve parents, families, and children in schools, in pediatric oces,
in the workplace, and in the community. Our mission to combine science and compassion
to deliver innovative solutions that equip adults to meet children’s needs and cultivate their
strengths has never been clearer and our vision of a world where every child’s natural strengths
are nurtured, so they realize their endless potential never more attainable.
With your continued generosity we will build our capacity to serve more families where and
when they need support the most. We’ll explore not only therapeutic solutions to existing
challenges but, preventative approaches to help mitigate future challenges.
Together we are committed to removing barriers and helping children and families get access
to the care and support they need to thrive. This is important work and it is impossible without
you. Thank you so much for your continued support of Beech Acres Parenting Center.
BRINGING HOPE
AND HEALING
TO CHILDREN.
We were on the verge of retiring, with one child
graduating high school and another one just starting
high school. We never imagined having four more
young children to raise. Having three toddlers and a
school-age child added into our mix has been a challenge at
times, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. These four have
never had a stable home. They were in four dierent foster or
kinship homes before they came to us. They have an unfortunate history
that I would never want any child to go through. We are trying to bring
security and unconditional love to them all. They have experienced trauma, and
if we would not have stepped up to take them, we don’t know what would have
happened to them. We were placed in each other’s paths at just the right time for them.

My daughter had a hard time processing and adjusting after my divorce. Her teacher noticed a
change in behavior and asked if I was ok with her seeing Mr. Craig. Boy, am I glad I said” yes”. It was a
very dicult period to navigate and Beech Acres oered tools and strategies to my daughter that I
never would have been able to provide myself. She enjoyed the time she spent with the sta and her
behavior noticeably improved once she had a proper outlet. Thank you thank you thank you!!

OUR IMPACT IN NUMBERS
Brad and Hannah
with Maryssa, their
adopted daughter
During my time with the program I was able to complete parent education classes and I was able to
have parenting time with my children. My family specialist was an important part of my success because
she helped me to advocate for me and my children. She was able to tell me the right ways to communicate
with my caseworker and other supports. While in the program I was able to get a job, reinstate my drivers
license, and start overnight visitation, learn new ways to handle stress and how my response to stressors
can aect me and others around me. In the beginning I was unsure if that day would ever come, but I was
patient and continued to do what was asked and rely on my supports when I was unsure of what to do.

Beech Acres is instrumental to our school
program. From daily support provided to
students to extracurriculars that support
emotional growth, Beech Acres has made it
