Common discounts explained
Members of Engineers Australia (excluding free students) who join one or more Technical Sociees are
entled to a single discount of $15.00 (includes GST) o their Engineers Australia membership fee*.
If you are a member of one or more Technical Sociees, the discount of $15.00
has been applied to your membership renewal fee for 2024-25^.
* The $15.00 discount is applied to a Member’s standard membership renewal fee. For example, a Chartered member
at the grade of Engineering Associate would normally pay $282.00, however with the discount applied would only
be required to pay $267.00. Discounts are automacally applied to Member’s 2024-2025 renewals fees.
^ The discount is not applicable for Asset Management Council (AMCouncil) and Royal Aeronaucal Society Australian
Division (RaeS). For further informaon regarding these two Technical Sociees, please contact them directly.
There is a concession rate of $182.00 (includes GST) available to an Engineers Australia member who is in
the Fellow, Member or Graduate (completed before 30 June 2021) and any occupaonal category who:
is over 55, has been a nancial member connuously for ve years, and has rered from paid, full-me work; or
is unable to work by reason of unemployment, disability, ill health, pregnancy, parental obligaon, parcipaon in
full-me postgraduate study directly related to their engineering competencies,
temporary severe nancial diculty or other sucient cause.
There is a concession rate of $123.00 (includes GST) available to an Engineers Australia member who is in
the Graduate 1–3 Year grade and any occupaonal category who:
is unable to work by reason of unemployment, disability, ill health, pregnancy, parental obligaon, parcipaon in
full-me postgraduate study directly related to their engineering competencies,
temporary severe nancial diculty or other sucient cause.
If you are a member of one or more Technical Sociees, the discount of $15.00 has been applied to the
relevant concession rate.
IPWEA Member
Members of Engineers Australia (excluding free students) who are also a member of the Instute of Public
Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) are entled to a single discount of $15.00 (includes GST) o their
Engineers Australia membership fee*.
If you are a member of IPWEA, the discount of $15.00 has been applied to your membership renewal fee
for 2024-25.
* The $15.00 discount is applied to a Member’s standard membership renewal fee. For example, a Chartered member
at the grade of Engineering Associate would normally pay $282.00, however with the discount applied would
only be required to pay $267.00. Discounts are automacally applied to Member’s 2024-25 renewals fees.
Conditions
Each Engineers Australia member is entled to receive one discount only (Technical Society or
IPWEA membership), calculated as the highest-value discount for which the member is eligible.
The Technical Society discount does not apply when the Technical Society membership fee is less than the
discount amount.
