eLearning Guidelines: GREEN Charter School Spartanburg
2022 - 2023
eLearning Schedule for K5 - 8th Grades
● Instruction will take place on eLearning days from 8am - 12pm and 1pm -
2:30pm.
● All students and staff will have a scheduled lunch break from 12pm - 1pm.
● The South Carolina Department of Education requires 200 minutes (or 3.5
hours) of instruction for grades K5-8th, with an additional 2 hours for
individual work completion and studying.
● Instruction can include assignments provided in paper form, posted to
Google Classroom or another online platform, or live instruction. Please
refer to the email from your child’s classroom teacher for individual
eLearning schedules specific to each classroom.
Expectations for Online Conduct
● When interacting online, students are required to act appropriately toward
teachers and classmates as they would in a traditional classroom
environment. For example:
○ Students will be present and engaged when participating in live
lessons.
○ Student’s mics will be muted until asked to speak.
○ Students will encourage other students in chat forums.
○ Students will address themselves and each other by their teacher-
● All school rules and procedures apply when students are participating in
any online assignments or forums.
● All forms of bullying or harassment on eLearning platforms will be treated
as cyberbullying according to our GREEN Charter Schools Family
Handbook.

● Violating these rules and procedures may result in disciplinary
consequences for students upon return to school.
