A degree from UMass Amherst enables transfer students to become
who they want to be. UMass alumni have served as general manager of
the Boston Red Sox, rewritten policies on Capitol Hill, designed sets for
Hamilton on Broadway, and conducted research on the International
Space Station. There are opportunities for internships and co-ops,
career development and planning assistance, and faculty and industry
networking that add value to your education even after you graduate.

HOW TO APPLY
1. SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
COMMON APPLICATION
Transfer students who graduated high school or earned a high school equivalency diploma and
subsequently enrolled in 12 or more credits must use the Common Application.
MASSTRANSFER APPLICATION
Students who are completing an associate degree at a Massachusetts community college in an
approved MassTransfer program must use the MassTransfer Application.
COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS
We must receive official transcripts sent directly from ALL of the colleges/universities you have
attended regardless of whether transfer credit is desired. Transcripts submitted through eSCRIP-
SAFE, Parchment, and National Student Clearinghouse are acceptable. If needed, the email
address for these electronic transcripts is [email protected].
